South African rapper, kiernan Forbes, who is popularly known as AKA caused a stir in the streets after announcing on Twitter that he is shutting down his company, Beam group.
The tweet did not reveal much information as to why he decided to close shop. However, AKA’s close friend and music collaborator JR, seemed to be interested into buying the company which is set to be closed.
Meanwhile, JR recently moved his popular YouTube Series, Feel Good Live Sessions to MTV Base.
Speaking to TshisaLive recently, this is what he had to say regarding artists who want to own companies.
“We need people who run companies that actually know what it is like to be an artist. To work hard. Who can answer the hard questions and know what you are going through. That is unique,” said JR.
