Madjozi keeps winning! South African musician Sho Madjozi won the Best New International Act in the BET Awards 2019.

Madjozi was nominated in the Viewers Choice: Best New Internation Act contending alongside Jok’Air from France, Nesly from France, Octavian from the U.K., Headie One also from the U.K. and Teni from Nigeria.
The Limpopo born star gave an emotional speech after scooping the award, with tears. “I guess for me my story is a testimony that you can from any village, and any forgotten part of the world and you can still be a superstar”, Sho said.

Sho made headlines recently when she won at the South African Music Award for Newcomer of the Year. Her energy and vibe when performing is something you cannot ignore from this rising superstar.
Majodzi is the first South African female artist to win a BET Award.
Sho Madjozi, AKA, Nomalanga Shozi and Nomzamo Mbatha were the four South Africans who made to the 2019 BET Awards nominations.
