The Absa Premiership Soccer League (PSL) Champion will this season earn a whopping fifteen million rands, the PSL confimed.

The South African first division premier league PSL cup has been increased to a fifteen million South African rands (R15M), the soccer division announced on Wednesday morning.
The announcement meant an overall 35% increase by the the PSL. LOG leaders at the end of the season will coin in a massive R15M, second position R7.5M, third R3.75M and fourth R2.5M in that hierarchy, with last team at the bottom (16th) going home with R440 000.

Current champions Mamelodi Sundowns took to Mamelodi R10M for the 2018/19 season.
The PSL also announced the first opening matches of the 2019/2020 season. First matches will be played on the first week of August.

Sundowns will play Supersport at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, Baroka battling Cape Town City at New Peter Mokaba Stadium, Pirates with Celtic at Orlando Stadium , Amazulu with Bidvest at King Zwelithini and Stelembosch playing Chippa at Coetzenburg Stadium; all at the 3rd of August 2019.
