Ekstein is going to play for an oversea club.

Hendrick Ekstein has confirmed that he will be joining a new club at the start of the upcoming season.
Soccer Laduma reports that the midfielder has signed a deal with Sabah Football Club in Azerbaijan’s Premier League. The 28-year-old says he is looking forward to start a new chapter of his career overseas.

“I’m leaving for a club in Azerbaijan. The name of the club is Sabah. I have signed for the club and everything has been finalised. I am excited and looking forward to the new challenge,” He told Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile, Ekstein parted ways with Kaizer Chiefs before the end of last season
