South Africans are continuing to send tribute messages to the 39-year-old Mandla Maseko who died in a bike accident on Saturday.
Mandla, well known as ‘spaceboy’ beat 1 million people to become one of 23 people who won a seat sponsored by the Axe Apollo Space Academy, on an hour-long sub-orbital trip in 2014.
Since the announcement of his death by a family spokesperson at the weekend, social media has been filled with tributes for Maseko.

What an honour to have met Mandla Maseko. It was a wonderful experience to be part of a project that unveiled the Curtis Nkondo School of Specialisation in Emndeni, 2016.
