The former Kaizer chiefs defender has been without a club since the end of the 2017/18 season after Kaizer Chiefs decided not to renew his contract.

The defender says he has not given up hope on revitalising his career, but admits that he has received no offers for his services, while also revealing that he wishes to get his coaching licences.

“I haven’t started looking actually. I was hoping to get a call, but now they want the young ones. There’ve been no offers so far,” said the 34-year-old.

“I see we’re all going in the route of coaching, but I don’t know because coaching is not an easy thing. It’s not like you train and go home and rest, you have to plan for the next session and think if you got what you wanted in the session and plan accordingly.

“So, it’s not an easy job at all and, as you know, you get fired and hired [all the time]. But I think I am going to do my coaching [licences] and see how it goes.

“Once I see there’s an opportunity then I’ll sit down and think, speak to my family and see. If there’s nothing, obviously then I’d have to call it a day.”
