Ats usual, Apple held their annual event at the Steve Job Theatre to announce their new products and services. Apple announced the release of iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max. The three devices follow a series of the ‘i’ series which started with the first iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.
iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max features
The pricing model of the new iPhone is still in the same range as the previous ones, and surely most providers will be looking to offer the new phones on the contract basis. The recommended price of iPhone 11 is $699, iPhone 11 Pro is $999 and iPhone Pro Max is $1099.
The iStore has stated that the iPhone 11 range will be available in South Africa from 27 September 2019.
The conversion rate depends on the rand value and many factors such as shipping prices and contracts, insurance and tracking rates. As it stands, a dollar is approximately 14:65 to the rand. We could only estimate the conversion.
iPhone 11 at $699 could be around R10226,37, iPhone 11 Pro $999 at R14615,37 and iPhone 11 Pro Max at $1099 could be R16078,37. These are direct conversion before any additional fees the stores may add. Leading providers like Vodacom, Telkom, and MTN will launch their iPhone stock soon and update the prices as fit.
What we know: The iStore said that customers with an old iPhone can trade their device in and save up to R330 per month on their new or upgraded Vodacom contract.
