Parliament DA Leader Steenhuisen Appoints Mazzone as Chief Whip

DA Shadow Minister of Public Enterprises Natasha Mazzone has been appointed the Chief Whip of the Democratic Alliance in the National Assembly.

“In the interim we are trying to create some stability here in parliament. She helped write the rules of parliament, she is competent and knows what needs to be done and that’s going to help manage a smooth transition in this period,” said Steenhuisen.

Natasha was appointed on Thursday morning by the new parliament leader John Steenhuisen who stepped in following Mmusi Maimane’s resignation as party leader a week ago.

Mmusi Maimane along with Athol Trollip and Herman Mashaba resigned immediately following the emergence of Helen Zille as Federal Council Chairperson after the party’s election.
