The National Executive Committee of the African National Congress held a media briefing on Wednesday morning at Luthuli House. The briefing follows the NEC’s four day’s meeting in Boksburg where the top six were discussing issues the country is grappling with at the moment.

Amongst other things, minister, Tito Mboweni’s so-called “document” seemed to have been at the focus of their discussion. Other important matters agreed upon by the NEC were also mentioned during the briefing by Secretary Ace Magashule.

They agreed on the following:
- To explore new markets for goods produced in South Africa,
- To ensure that it is easy to do business in South Africa,
- A policy package that must provide young people with opportunities,
- New partnerships with the retail industry to promote the proudly South African campaign,
- Tito Mboweni emphasized the importance of businesses to be registered before they start operating in the country.
