The Automobile Association says that the price of petrol will be going down in January.
They say motorists can expect a decrease of around 17 cents a litre. Illuminating paraffin should come down by around four cents, but diesel might go up by one cent.
The AA says the Rand held steady during the first half of December and even appreciated slightly against the US Dollar.
It says stable prices of basic fuels have also played a role in keeping the price changes in check. The new adjustments will take effect on midnight on the 1st of January.
