Drake’s manager dismissed the claims.
South Africans were highly anticipated to see Drake coming to Mzansi following reports on social media. Claims which were dismissed by Future The Prince, who manages Drake.
Fake Concert by a Fake Website
The website that advertised the concert was reportedly made just a month ago.
South Africa was not the only target of this scam. The announcement included Ghana and Nigeria as well.
BET Africa dismiss Drake’s concert affiliation.
As reported by The South African, BET Africa have dismissed the event. They have been listed as a sponsor for the live shows, but they flatly deny having any knowledge of Drake’s plans to tour the continent
“It has been brought to our attention that BET Africa & @MTVBaseSouth have been listed as partners for the below event. Should you see any further promotion relating to this, please be advised that we are NOT partnering, and have NO affiliation with the below, ” BET Africa wrote on their twitter page.
