South Africans are still demanding the 2019 apology from Burna Boy. The singer reacted to the 2019 Xenophobic headlines and claimed South Africa butchering his people.
The ‘African Giant’ crossed his fingers to never step in South African any time soon. The announcement didn’t last long after Burna announced that he will be performing at a Unity Concert to unite Africans in Johannesburg.
The event was canceled following reactions from South Africans and other artists who did not like the idea of peace before the apology.
Burna had this to say, “Let’s not act like xenophobia is not real in South Africa, let’s not act like Nigerians, Tanzanians, Zimbabweans and many other AFRICANS have not been victims in the last three years. Please Let us all do our part to Unite Africa.” The singer wrote on his Twitter page.
This week Burna Boy was on the Grammy Nomination list, the artist did not win. Angélique Kidjo won ‘Best World Music’, the category that Burna Boy was nominated for.
