The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) War Council held sessions on 02 March 2020, at the EFF Headquarters to reflect on their Eskom march which was on 28 February 2020.
EFF believes that the march was successful. The protesting was against loadshedding and the privatisation of Eskom.
Privatization of Eskom is a problem according to EFF as they believe it is nothing, but an imperialist institute that has no people’s interest at heart.
All power generation is tied into Eskom’s national transmission grid that moves electricity from generation stations to demand areas. Transmission is believed to be a natural monopoly because one needs Eskom’s permission to use the transmission grid.
Ordinary citizens applauded EFF for standing up against the monopoly of the power utility.
@MakhobuM ” EFF, I’m proud of you, keep up the good work you’re doing here RSA”
Likewise, some didn’t agree that the Eskom march was a success.
