EBNewsDaily reported yesterday about the EFF members of the Provincial Legislature allegedly assaulted security officers in Eastern Cape on Tuesday.
The party’s deputy president Floyd Shivambu said next time this should be done tenfold more.
In a video shared on social media, members of the provincial legislature wearing red overalls could be seen smacking the officers.
The attacked personnel had been instructed to eject MPLs for wearing their trademark red overalls to the Eastern Cape legislature.
After EFF MPLs and party members eventually left the chambers, legislature staff were seen cleaning the blood off the floor. Because of the violence, the debate was delayed by more than an hour.
The deputy president of the EFF Floyd Shivambu applauded the EFF members. Shivambu told members to increase the energy next time a similar thing happened.
Well done to @official_ec_eff Ground Forces for defending the EFF elected representatives against the ANC hired thugs who prevent them from performing their constitutional obligations as MPLs. Next time the fight back must be tenfold.
