The People’s Dialogue founder and former Mayor of Johannesburg, Herman Mashaba, is convinced that South African citizens are fed up with the current political parties that have to date failed to meet their needs.
“The People’s Dialogue is a party that gives a voice to the voiceless and builds real and credible alternative to the ANC. It is a party aimed at restoring faith in our democracy in the almost 19 million eligible voters who did not vote in 2019,” he said.
Mashaba said his party has received a lot of response from South Africans who engaged with their views and the solutions that are needed to the challenges confronting the nation.
“I am deeply touched by the level of patriotism, goodwill and belief in a better future that has been evident from the engagements to date,” said Mashaba.
People’s Dialogue founder also noted that many citizens have indicated that time for talk must come to an end and must build an alternative that can unseat the ANC and deliver the kind of South Africa that has been so passionately spoken about.
“We have already begun the work of analyzing the millions of engagements we have had from South Africans of all walks of life. The inputs received will be analyzed and presented at an event i will be convening on March 24, 2020 where the voices of South Africans will be heard,” he said.
The inputs received through The People’s Dialogue points out that South Africans want businesses and entrepreneurs to succeed in a just economy, want a non-racial future for their country, want the rule of law and are also fed up with their political system which doesn’t serve their interests.
