Following Mcebo Dlamini’s sentencing yesterday, a group of students of the Wits University gathered on Tuesday afternoon at the insitution’s PYA, a Wits Progressive Youth Alliance Comprised of the ANCYL, SASCO & YCL.
At the gathering, females accused Mcebo Dlamini as a rapist. Visible banners were seen with messages such as ‘We will not mourn a RAPIST‘, ‘COVID-19 has less victims in a SA than MCEBO‘
Anna Moross of the Wits Vuvuzela said the meeting was meant to discuss ‘free education as many black students are disadvantaged by the current system’
However, female students are argued that the discussion needs to be about Mcebo Dlamini being accused of rape,’
