Two bodies were discovered. A 70-year-old pastor together with his 67-year-old wife were brutally killed according to Lieutenant General Mondli Zuma.
The SAPS in Mpumalanga, at the office of the Provincial Commissioner issued announced on Thursday, 19 March.
A police report states that their lifeless bodies were left abandoned inside their vehicle on Wednesday the 18th March at a veld next to Bethel dam, Nelspruit.
According to this report, the couple drove away yesterday to accompany their helper home to Emzinoni but never returned.
Upon arrival, the police spotted a stationary white vehicle at the crime scene.
They began to search the vehicle and discovered the two bodies with severe visible injuries. The police then called to the scene the EMS who then certified the victims dead.
“It is disheartening dealing with such cases where certain individuals brutality attack and kill vulnerable and defenceless citizens. We have assigned a team of investigators to solve this matter and I am certain that those responsible will soon be arrested so that they can face the full might of the law. I would also like to send my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased”. Said the Provincial Commissioner, Mondli Zuma.
