Reports of the South African National Defense Force (SANDF) being spotted in different locations keep increasing as president Ramaphosa is set for the nation’s address this evening.
With the number of infections rapidly increasing, the government is expected to announce a lockdown tonight.
Reports say the SANDF subunits are to be deployed to seven provinces except for Limpopo. Gauteng will receive two subunits at the of which one will be at the City of Tshwane and the other in the City of Johannesburg.
The department of health announced a staggering 402 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in South Africa.
Gauteng remains the most hit province with 207 confirmed cases. South Africa reported 274 cases on Sunday. The number was almost doubled with the latest stats.
