CDC Africa’s latest update on COVID-19

The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released the latest update on COVID-19. The report shows that 46 countries in Africa have recorded a total 3,243 cases, 83 deaths and 254 recoveries by region.

Central Africa has the least number of cases totaling to 170

Cameroon has 88 cases, 1 death and 2 recoveries

Central African Republic has 5 cases, 0 deaths and 3 recoveries

Chad has 3 cases , o deaths and 0 recoveries

Congo has 4 cases, 0 deaths and 0 recoveries

DRC has 54 cases , 5 deaths and 2 recoveries

Equatorial Guinea has 9 cases , 0 deaths and 0 recoveries

Gabon has 7 cases ,1 death and 0 recoveries

Northern Africa has the highest number of infections and deaths totaling to 1,249 cases , 60 deaths and 216 recoveries.

Algeria has 302 cases,21 deaths and 77 recoveries

Egypt has 495 cases, 24 deaths and 130 recoveries

Libya has 1 case,0 death and 0 recovery

Mauritania has 3 cases, 0 deaths and 0 recoveries

Morocco has 275 cases, 10 deaths and 8 recoveries

Tunisia has 173 cases , 5 deaths and 1 recovery
