The patient was isolated at the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital in Johannesburg
The Department of Health spokesperson has confirmed that the Coronavirus patient who was isolated and undergoing treatment at the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital in Johannesburg has been discharged,
“It suggests that she was ready to go home. She will continue self-isolation. This is the report we are getting from her treating doctor and the NCID team together with ourself will continue to also engage to monitor her form time to time as per the guidelines,” The department’s Kwara Kekana said.
According to The National Institute for Communicable Diseases, the second Covid-19 patient was a female from Gauteng who travelled to Italy along with the index case as part of a group of 10, the NICD.
