The situation in Tshwane Council where the city has no mayor, no city manager and no mayoral committee, is frustrating to all who want to see services delivered to the people” he said.
Steenhuisen also said that the party had mandated mayoral candidate Randall Williams to seek solutions with the ANC and EFF in the city, but to date, they have been met with lack of interest from other parties.
“The destructive strategy of the ANC and EFF of collapsing meetings is a delaying tactic to buy these two parties time to broke a power-sharing deal at the expense of service delivery” he said.
The Democratic Alliance also announced that they are consulting with their lawyers to stop ANC government from using pension funds to bail out Eskom.
“Why should hardworking South Africans lose a lifetime worth of savings to save a sinking ship?
