President of the country Cyril Ramaphosa was on full gear as the Commander in Chief of the South African National Defense Force (SANDF) on Thursday evening the army sets to work.

“We expect you to go out there and give this mission your very best. There will be moments of discomfort, that is to be expected in the life of a soldier, but we have placed our full confidence in you,” the CIC said.

The CIC, Cyril Ramaphosa, deployed the SANDF along with the South African Police Service (SAPS) to work during the country’s 21 days lockdown from midnight on Thursday.

The two forces will ensure that South Africans comply with the restriction of movement of people under the National State of Disaster as announced on Monday evening.
