The New Suzuki S-Presso To Be Launched Online Due To Coronavirus

As we know by now, a number of major events have been cancelled due to the global pandemic Coronavirus (Covid-17) oubreak.

Among those events, is the launch of the new Suzuki S-Presso which is set to stage a digital launch on Wednesday night, 18 March.

The launch will be Live on Suzuki’s Facebook page at 18:30.

The S-Spresso is reportedly set to become the  nation’s cheapest car. According to their site, the car’s starting price is R134900

Buyers will have an option to choose between the high-spec GL+ and S-Edition.

Engine capacity

The SUV-inspired hatch is powered by the same engine found in the Suzuki Celerio. The 1-litre engine produces 50kW and 90Nm.

It comes with five-speed manual gearbox and automated manual transmission.


The models are fitted with safety features including seat belts with pre-tensioners, a rear park assist system, two-airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking system) and EBD (electronic brake-force distribution).

The interior is fitted with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front-electric windows, a powerful air-conditioning system and a steering wheel-mounted controls.
