Meanwhile the South African National Defense Force (SANDF) and the South African Police Service (SAPS) have been enforcing discipline to citizens who were caught outside for non-essential reasons, Twitter slammed the army for ‘only disciplining black people’.

SANDF has been a trending topic on Twitter with videos circulating around social media channels.

On various videos, the SANDF along with police could be seen making citizens to ‘frog jump’, push-ups, and in some instances enforcing skop and donor.

While deploying the army early this week, President Ramaphosa who is the Commander in Chief of the SA Armies told the SANDF not instill a sense of fear in people but should provide confidence and hope.

“This is not a moment for skop and donner, this is not a moment for skiet and donner. This is a moment to be supportive to our people. I therefore order you to go out and execute this mission with great success,” Ramaphosa said.
