
Minister of Health Dr. Zweli Mkhize confirmed that the total confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the country are currently 1585, with 80 additional cases.
The death cases have also increased to 9 cases, with KwaZulu Natal experiencing the most fatality rate. 6 of the 9 death cases occurred in the KZN. Meanwhile Western Cape, Gauteng Free State recorded each death.
Gauteng remain the most hit with a 693 positive COVID-19 cases. followed by Western Cape at 433 and KZN at 232.

The department has conveyed condolences to the family affected by the Coronavirus deaths.
“We convey our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.
“We also thank the doctors, health workers and all staff members of this hospital for their commitment to serve even during these difficult times,”
Meanwhile, Mkhize continued to warm citizens about the coming winter saying people should remain warm and active to minimize the risk of catching the flu.
