A KwaZulu-Natal man and his daughter were rescued on Sunday after being swept at sea, confirmed the IPSS Medical Rescue Team.
These two had ignored lockdown regulations to go diving in the ocean amidst the coronavirus crisis.
The medical rescue team that was dispatched to rescue them found them in distress at Salmon Bay, Balito.
“Rescue swimmers swam out and assisted the father and daughter back to shore.
Meanwhile, the IPSS urged the communities to adhere to regulations.
“We urge all (members of the) public to please adhere to the national lockdown regulations,” IPSS said in a statement.
