The South African Police Service (SAPS) has confirmed that a KwaZulu Natal man and woman at the Shakaskraal area were arrested for the illegal sales of cigarettes during the 21 days of lockdown.
The two will face charges for contravening the Disaster Management Act.
“This morning Umhlali K9 Unit members received information of illegal sales of cigarette at Shakaskraal during the 21 Days Lockdown,” says the SAPS
“The members acted swiftly and arrested a male and female at two stores,”
SAPS says the accused will appear in court in June 2020.
