President Ramaphosa announced plans to open up the country gradually and in stages from the 1st of May 2020.
Ramaphosa says some sectors will be allowed to resume work but on a scalable and controllable way. The measures are to help the economy to resume activities while still fighting the COVID-19.
Shops will continue selling, with cigarettes allowed this time.
BUT South Africans had something to cackle at during the end of the speech. President Ramaphosa struggled to put on his mask and he ended up wearing on his face, covering the eyes and the nose.
