
The minister of health Dr. Zwei Mkhize says the number of coronavirus infections in South Africa have risen to 4,220 as as of 24 April 2020.
Four (4) death cases related to COVID-19 were reported. The cases emerge from the Western Cape and the Kwa-Zulu Natal. The two provinces recorded 2 death cases each.
“Today we regrettably report 4 new deaths. This brings the total to 79. We convey our condolences to the families of the deceased and appreciate the health workers who treated the deceased patients,” Mkhize announced.
The number of recoveries have also been rising. Of the 1,281 confirmed cases in Gauteng, 843 have already recovered. In Limpopo, the 29 cases have also resulted in 24 recoveries.
