25 deaths cases and 2,028 SA COVID-19 infections

Minister of Health Dr. Zweli Mkhize says the number of COVID-19 in South Africa has increased to a 2,028 and 25 deaths to date.

“As of today, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is 2028. The total number of COVID-19 tests conducted to date is 75 053,” Mkhize says oin a statement.

Mkhize another death case was added. A 61 year old male from the Western Cape passed away due to COVID-19. Mkhize says the deceased medical conditions included diabetes, hypertension and obesity.

The minister also added that the Kwa-Zulu Natal has a high death toll more than other provinces. More than 6 patients have died from one institution in the KZN.

“We need to get into why this is so. We have now decided the hospital needs to be closed down and an investigation needs to be launched,” Mkhize says
