Vlakfontein South African Police Service (SAPS) said they discovered a body of a man killed for allegedly stealing a TV on Wednesday in Vlakfontein extension 3.
Three people have been arrested including two women aged 22 and 37 and a 47-year old man after the 23-year old man’s body was found in an open field.
Spokesperson of the police, sergeant Khalipha Mvula says a group of some 15 people went to the deceased’s house early on Wednesday and accused him of stealing a television.
Mvula says this group visited all the places which the deceased pointed out as a hiding place of the stolen merchandise.
He was then chained to a chair before the group left the house and was found dead later in an open field under unclear circumstances.
Three people charged with murder are expected to appear in court soon.
