As of today the total number of confirmed COVID-19 Cases are 6,783 and the total number of deaths has increased by 8, bringing the total number of deaths to 131, Health Department confirmed.
Over the past 24 hours, 447 new cases were found. The number of recoveries stands at 2,549.
Following a sharp rise in new case, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi took to social media to take a jab at President Cyril Ramaphosa for easing some regulations.
South Africa began the first day of level 4 on Friday, 01 May 2020. Some activities have resumed while others are still planning.
Ndlozi stated that there’s still going to be a rise on new cases for allowing people to go back to work.
