Happy Jele, 33 has begun negotiations with Orlando Pirates over a new contract and so far the signs are positive.
An experienced campaigner who joined the Buccaneers in 2006 from amateur side Walter Stars, Jele has been of value to coach Josef Zinnbauer.
His age will, however, determine the length of a new contract-but a source close to Pirates told EBNewsDaily that Jele still wants to play for Pirates. The veteran current contract expires next month.
“We begun our negotiations last month already with Jele, and it was clear during initial talks that Jele is a valuable member of coach Zinnbauer team.He has been loving life in Johannesburg ” said the source.
Zinnbauer has publicly stated that the Mpumalanga born defender is an important member of his team.Jele has featured in 20 of the club 23 Absa Premiership matches so far this season -some games missed through suspension.
