Having parted ways with Thamsanqa Gabuza last season, Orlando Pirates are believed to have set their sights on Bongi Ntuli from Amazulu, with a view to add him to their squad for the 20/21 season.
Ntuli has been linked with a few PSL clubs during the January transfer window including Bucs rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits.
Although Usuthu have been reluctant to listen to offers for their top goal-scorer Pirates are said to be willing to convince the Kwazulu Natal outfit to agree to the sale of Ntuli.
”What are you saying about Pirates and their interest in the player is the truth. They ( Pirates) are expected to start their discussions with Amazulu. They ( Amazulu) might be tempted to listen to their offer if the money is good.
“Pirates and Amazulu have a very close relationship so anything is possible, but everything will depend on the money put on the table,” a source told EBNewsDaily.
With Pirates expected to offload Justin Shonga and the reported interest for Gabadinho Mhango from overseas. Bucs are believed to be considering strengthening Josef Zinnbauer’s squad with a quality striker before the start of the season in August.
