A New York white woman, Amy Cooper finds herself in hot soup after her video went viral in which she allegedly called the police lying that an African American man was threatening her life at the famous Ramble park in New York Central after being told to put the leash on her dog.
Ramble in New York Central park is said to have clear signs that dogs must be leashed at all times. The African American, who is an avid birder politely asked the woman to put her dog on the leash, but she instead called the cops lying that her life was being threatened.
“I’m calling the cops and tell them there’s an African American man threatening my life,” she said.
“Please tell them whatever you like,” the African American said while recording the video.
The woman while visibly chocking the dog, lied that an African American man was recording her, threatening her and the dog.
“I’m sorry I’m in Ramble and there is a man, an African American, he’s recording me and threatening me and my dog,” she said.
The woman’s cry of distress at the end of the video while lying left social media infuriated and many shared the opinion that the woman’s act could have got the man killed.
After the racist woman finally put the leash on her dog, the African American man simply said ” thank you,” and went on his way.
Following the incident, Amy Cooper has been placed on leave, she works at Franklin Templeton an investment company.
