A shopkeeper is in hot water after he was caught selling food that had been handed out by the government.
In the video making rounds on social media, the shopkeeper is seen being asked questions by two men including a police officer while he’s holding one of the parcels.
When asked about where did he get the parcels, the man keeps on saying “we are the legal ones”.
The video was shared on Twitter by Herman Mashaba who was clearly not impressed by the footage.
Mashaba captioned the post: “What’s going on here? How did he get this food parcel, and how many others are getting food parcels and trying to re-sell to South Africans?”
On social media, people called for a legal action to be taken against the man.
Surely he didn't buy these stolen goods from his own country man. He bought them from our corrupt officials.— Kapudi Silas Mediwane (@KMidiwane) May 1, 2020
