AmaZulu head coach Benni McCarthy says his team is ready to compete in the CAF Champions League.
Usuthu are set to lock horns with Nyasa Big Bullets on Friday.
Talking to the club’s media, McCarthy said that his team’s preparation for Friday’s game against Malawian opposition has gone well, and they’re ready for a physical battle.
“The facilities that we had was excellent. And we enjoyed our football, we worked on a lot of strategies and different formations, and how are we going to battle the physicality of African sides.
“So we worked on all those aspects of our game. And we think, ja, Friday can’t come any quicker, because we want to just get it over with, the butterflies in our stomachs, everyone, myself included the players, so we just want the game to come now, said McCarthy.
The People’s Team – as Bullets – are the most successful club in Malawi and are coached by former Zimbabwe international Callisto Pasuwa.
