The presidency has confirmed that President Ramaphosa will address the nation this evening on Thursday, 30 September 2021 at 20h00 on developments in the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

South Africa going to Level 1?
On his previous address on 13 September, Ramaphosa moved the country from Adjusted Alert Level 3 to Adjusted Alert Level 2 of the lockdown. With the COVID19 numbers going down, more people getting vaccinated and election day coming soon, it is highly expected that the country can be moved to Level 1. Over 17 million people have already been vaccinated in South Africa.
