Two foreign-owned Spaza shops were petrol bombed in Gqeberha on Wednesday night.
This follows after several minibus taxis and two cars were set alight in an alleged violent brawl on Wednesday.
According to the police, there was a collision between an Audi and a taxi.
“It is further alleged that the driver of the taxi alighted and started to assault the driver of the Audi,” police spokesperson Priscilla Naidu said.
Burning of shops
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said one incident was reported in Zwide and another in Kwazakhele.
Police are, however, on high alert and no injuries were reported.
