The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Deputy President Floyd Shivambu lamented that the Oppenheimerss are the ones who collapsed the negotiations between Action-SA and EFF. This after it has emerged that former Johannesburg mayor Herman Mashaba’s ActionSA has emerged as the biggest beneficiary of the donations from the powerful and wealthy family of the Oppenheimers.
“The Oppenheimer criminal syndicate is remaining true to its murderous foundation and nature of political interferences and micromanagement,” Shivambu stated. He further added that the Oppenheimers now own the African National Congress (ANC), the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the Action SA.
In the press briefing in Johannesburg this week, party leader Julius Malema mentioned that they had begun talks with Action SA for a coalition, which seemed to be going well, only for Action SA to abruptly stop showing interest. Malema said they will be patient with Mashaba as he is still new in politics.
“In the three meetings we held with them, we had a firm consensus on voting together, and out of nowhere, they took an about turn and retreated,” Shivambu said.
According to the party funding report, ActionSA’s donation in toal for the quarter came to R16,9 million, which was paid between July and September this year.
The EFF has not revealed their funders.
