Like all other businesses, the iGaming industry has its trade shows and events, many of them involving awards to recognize excellence. One of the most prestigious is the EGR B2B Awards, a ceremony held by the leading news outlet covering the industry. The EGR B2B awards recognize the best of the best in a variety of categories. This year, these suppliers were found worthy of an award.
Casino Software Provider: Pragmatic Play
Founded in 2015, Pragmatic Play was little more than “yet another slot machine studio” at first. Later, in turn, it quickly became one of the leading suppliers of casino slots, later venturing into other areas, like live dealer games, as well. Today, its library includes more than 200 RNG-powered casino games and a turnkey solution that earned it the title of the “Casino Software Provider of the Year” in 2023.
Platform Provider: GiG
iGaming platforms are solutions covering every aspect of the industry, from games and betting to customer support and affiliate interfaces. Their game libraries consist of hundreds, often thousands of games covering every studio from veterans like Realtime Gaming, the supplier behind Springbok online casino, to newcomers like Spribe, All4One, and others. There are several major platform providers out there – and this year Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has proven to be the best.
Slot Supplier: Playson
Playson has been around for over a decade, constantly growing its game library and improving its games. Its efforts have been recognized many times through awards and nominations. This year, in turn, the company scored a hat-trick of nominations, ultimately taking home two: that for the Employer of the Year, and the Slot Supplier of the Year in 2023. For the latter, it beat studios like Blueprint Gaming and Yggdrasil.
Slot Innovator: Livespins
Livespins has made it its goal to reimagine the online casino by adding the ever-popular live streaming to it. But it went one step beyond simply showing people playing online casino games: it integrated wagering into the matter, allowing viewers to bet behind the streamer.
This sounds great to the players – and, apparently, the judges at this year’s EGR B2B Awards. The idea landed Livespins an innovation trophy this year.
Live Casino Supplier: Playtech
Playtech is one of the better-sounding names in the world of iGaming. Founded by Teddy Sagi in 1999, it has grown into one of the largest and most valuable gambling platforms and software providers in the world. It covers everything in the industry, from web hosting to financial services.
This year, it was its live casino platform that earned the recognition of the jury at the EGR B2B awards.
The iGaming industry continues to grow, always conquering new markets and bringing countless examples of innovation and best practices to the spotlight. This year, these were the top iGaming software providers in the world. Who will be the recipients next year?
