Erling Haaland goal gives Manchester City derby win at Old Trafford

Erling Haaland scored the only goal as Manchester City beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Norway striker found the net in the 60th minute. The goal was initially disallowed before a video review overturned the decision.

City had played with 10 men from the first half after Phil Foden was shown a red card, but held on to take all three points.

United came close to scoring when Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo struck the woodwork.

City move level at the top

The victory took Manchester City to 12 points, level with Arsenal and behind the London club on goal difference after four matches.

Manchester United remained 13th with four points from their opening four league fixtures.

The result gave City the early-season derby honours despite playing more than half the match a player short.
