Western Cape NPO Help Desk: where to ask about registration and compliance
The provincial service page lists registration support, compliance information and training, with weekday hours and contact details for enquiries.
Western Cape organisations needing help with nonprofit registration or compliance can approach the provincial NPO Help Desk, according to the government's service page.
The desk is listed at the Customer Service Contact Centre, 9 Wale Street, Cape Town. Published hours are Monday to Thursday, 08:00 to 14:30, with Friday closure. Confirm arrangements before travelling; these are the listed service hours, not evidence that the desk is open on Sunday.
The official page describes registration support, compliance-status information and training. It gives 021 483 0987 or 021 483 3808 for enquiries, and npo.helpdesk@westerncape.gov.za.
Its guidance starts with an organisation's governing board and founding document. It also links application material, a model constitution, reporting templates and guidance on updating organisational details.
Registration is followed by continuing compliance responsibilities. Organisations should check the requirements that apply to their structure rather than assume a certificate settles every reporting obligation.
This is existing service information checked on 8 November 2026. No application was submitted or appointment confirmed, and the guide does not promise funding or registration approval.
