Santova reported a 57.4% increase in headline earnings per share for the six months to August 2026, but the sharp rise in revenue partly reflects a longer contribution from Seabourne.
The group said in its unaudited interim results released on Tuesday that headline earnings reached 56.2 cents a share. Net profit rose 54.2% to R70.8 million.
Revenue and net interest income increased 40.2% to R681.8 million. That comparison includes six months of Seabourne revenue, against three months in the previous period. On a comparable basis, growth was 4.9%.
Santova attributed the comparable increase mainly to higher volumes in the United Kingdom and Netherlands, together with improved freight rates. Its operating margin rose from 13.5% to 14.2%.
Separately, the company said it was negotiating potential strategic acquisitions and issued a cautionary notice to shareholders. The announcement does not establish that any transaction has been agreed or completed.
