Quantum Foods expects headline earnings per share to rise by 17–29% for the year ended 30 September 2026, according to its trading statement issued on Tuesday.
The food producer forecast headline earnings of 157.5–173.7 cents a share, against 134.4 cents a year earlier. The figures have not been reviewed by its external auditors, and full-year results are expected around 27 November.
Quantum attributed more favourable trading conditions to poultry demand, lower feed costs and fewer electricity disruptions. It said higher fuel costs had partly offset those benefits.
Performance varied across its businesses. Feed and layer-farming earnings improved, but broiler-farming earnings fell as weaker margins on contracted live-bird sales and higher operating costs outweighed production gains.
Its egg business also earned less despite slightly higher volumes. Average selling prices declined 5%, with lower feed costs and improved efficiency cushioning the impact. That is the company’s selling-price measure, not a national retail-price index.
