The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson says Britain’s National Health System (NHS) is the best after recovering from COVID-19 that saw him spent eight days in hospital of which three days he was in Intense Care Unit after his condition worsened.
”It is hard to find words to express my debt to the NHS for saving my life. We are making progress in this national battle because the British public formed a human shield around this countries greatest national asset, our National Health Service,” he said.
Johnson also mentioned two foreign nurses from New Zealand and Portugal whom he said stood by him 48 hours when things could have gone otherwise.
“I hope others won’t mind if i mention two nurses who stood by me for 48 hours when things could have gone either way. They are Jenny from New Zealand and Luis from Portugal near Porto,” said Johnson.
The 55- year old assures the Britons that they will win the fight against coronavirus because the NHS is working tirelessly with so much precision to combat it.
“We will win because our NHS is the beating heart of this country, it is the best of this country, it unconquerable, it is powered by love. So thank you from me and from all of us to the NHS,” he said.
