South African singer Kelly Khumalo, takes social media by storm after uploading video where she is crying and urging South Africans to pray to God to end the current situation of COVID-19.
“I want to ask you guys to get on your knees and tell God what you want out of the situation,” said Khumalo.
The COVID-19 global pandemic has greatly affected people’s lives and the global death toll has reached 170,000 with over a million cases recorded.
Khumalo urged citizens to pray at this time where the world is battling to find vaccines for the pandemic.
Kelly is not the only celebrity to come out in the public emotionally distressed, a lot of celebrities such as Bonang Matheba, Cassper Nyovest, Khanyi Mbau have also revealed that they are struggling to cope with lockdown.
Health care workers also have been coming out especially in the US citing that they have never seen something like this where hundreds of people are dying every day.
The COVID-19 was declared a public Health Emergency of International concern by World Health Organization on 30 January 2020.
This has also been the most difficult time for ordinary South Africans who face the double tragedy of hunger and COVID-19.
President Cyril Ramaphosa on Tuesday 21, April announced a social relief and economic support package of R500 billion which he said will help alleviate hunger and social distress.
