“Pravin must go, and we are going to demand that in parliament,”
EFF leader Julius Malema has once again called to the President of the country Cyril Ramaphosa to fire Minister Pravin Gordhan or SONA will be disrupted.
Malema was speaking at the party’s presser on Sunday afternoon in Centurion, Gauteng.
“Pravin must go, and we are going to demand that in parliament. And we are going to have rolling mass actions on Pravin, starting on February 13 in parliament,” Malema said.
EFF | De Klerk Not Welcomed In SONA
Malema has also made it clear that the EFF does not want to see former President, FW de Klerk at this year’s State-of-the-Nation-Address in the National Assembly
“We also call on de Klerk to stay away from the SONA and return Nobel Peace Prize he got. He’s has proven to be an Apartheid apologist. We will not (share) a democratic parliament with him, who says Apartheid is not a crime against humanity.”
This is the second threat to the president. EBNewsDaily reported earlier in January that Malema vows to disrupt the parliament on SONA unless Pravin is fired.
“I want to tell Cyril Ramaphosa today that if he can’t fire Pravin before the state of the nation address, the state of the nation address shall be about Pravin,”
EFF Elects New War Council Commissars
The party also announced changes to new commissars who will ‘serve in the War Council’. The structure is responsible for the day to day operations of the EFF
Mbuyiseni Ndlozi is no longer the spokesperson of the party. The vacancy was filled by Commissar Delisile Ngwenya and Vuyani Pambo. Mbuyiseni was tasked with the party’s political education role.
The SONA is scheduled for 13 February 2020
