Family of Tebatso Nakedi Ntshane who was part of the South African Airways (SAA) crew members that went to Wuhan to repatriate South Africans in China says she did not succumb to Covid-19 but rather to cancer-related complications.
Various social media reports and circulating screenshots have rumored that Tebatso Ntshane died of coronavirus, gamily spokesperson Mr. Elias Mazibila dismissed this as false.
“The family can confirm that Ms Ntshane sucummbed to cancer-ralated complications in a Pretoria hospital on Sunday, 24 May 2020,” Mabizila said.

Tebatso alongside other crew members from the SAA ‘willingly participated’ in ‘Operation DITABA‘, an operation that was led by the South African National Defense Force in cooperation with the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) in May 2020 to Wuhan province, China.
EBNewsDaily understands the 39-year-old Tebatso left behind a son and mother.
The family has appealed with the public to allow them to mourn their daughter and request that she be accorded the ‘respect she deserves for serving her country diligently when she was called upon to do so’.
