Siwelele FC have parted ways with head coach Lehlohonolo Seema and assistant coach Willem Jackson after a difficult start to the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.

The change followed Sunday’s 3-2 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs at Dobsonville Stadium. It was Siwelele’s third loss in their opening five league matches.

The club have collected two points from a possible 15 and sit 14th on the Premiership table, according to current eNCA reporting.

Seema becomes the second coach to leave a Premiership post this season. Sekhukhune United earlier dismissed Cedric Kaze.

Siwelele have not yet announced a permanent replacement in the information available on Tuesday morning. The departure of Jackson means the club must also reorganise the wider technical team before its next fixture.

The Bloemfontein side’s opening run has placed early pressure on a team still trying to establish consistency in the top flight. The loss to Chiefs left Siwelele close to the bottom of the table after five rounds.

Seema’s exit brings another change to a club that will need results quickly to move away from the relegation places. The next appointment will inherit a side with two points and a short turnaround before the league programme continues.

Further details on an interim coach and the club’s recruitment process are expected from Siwelele.
